"Keep Cardiff by the Sea quaint and free from over-development."
Julie G.

"I was so upset after the meeting that I couldn't sleep. I want to know more about the committee members and what the mixed use means to them. Do they own property that will be helped. I admired the ones who really heard what the Cardiffians were saying. Too bad it fell on some deaf ears.

What I don't understand is how can you pick and choose which properties are mixed??? That opens a big can of worms. Do you choose by what, who you know?????
Can't believe they can even suggest that working.

Anyway I am going to be at every meeting possible.

Thanks again for everything"

Barb

"Lord, why don't they just stop!!"
Cerc S.

"Keep it as is!"
Patrick O.

"Please, NO MIXED use in Cardiff. I have lived here since 1975 and still love the small, beach community we have. I want my child to continue to enjoy this special town as I have. Please save Cardiff from mixed use development!!!"
Sheryl K.

"Just say no to greedy developers!"
Jason E.

"I am 36 years old and I come from three generations of North County Natives. Cardiff is a great place to live, the weather, the beach , the locals and the history we have, not the new buildings that they want to bring in. All of this development is increasing the cost of living and further gentrifying Cardiff. I mean it's bad enough already. These developers don't have to live here after the make their money off of buidling that they want to cram into our small town. Traffic is already busting at the seams. There is no more room. It's hard to stop progress and I imagine someday soon Cardiff and Coastal Encinitas will only consist of very wealthy people who are NOT from here. I become very sad to think that I may have to move away from the place that I love the most because I can't afford the cost of living. I grew up here, I went to school here, I work here, and I surf here. This is our home town, not some developer wet dream. Cardiff needs to be protected not exploited."
Chris V.

"This website is great for informing the public and residents of Cardiff about what developers plan to do to our loved beach town. I cannot believe how money influences people in such the wrong way, who do these developers think they are that they can come in here and destroy our town so they get the mansion overlooking the beach while were stuck in traffic on our way to our legit jobs. Hopefully the days of running across PCH to check the surf are not over yet."

"Keep Cardiff the quaint, beautiful beach town it is!!!"
John S.

"Thanks for keeping us awake. I had no idea that VG's was under attack. That place is awesome."
Laurel M.

"I do not want our community character destroyed either, but would be in favor of giving the downtown business district a "facelift". Please keep me informed. I am a new resident to Cardiff and moved here for its charm and character and would like to see that preserved appropriately."
